We are proud to announce the general availability of QlikView November 2018 and Qlik Sense November 2018 and are sure you and our customers will be excited about what they have to offer.
Qlik Sense November 2018
This release brings new capabilities to the product that customers have been waiting for, and we are happy to deliver these high value features! Amongst other things, these enhancements include the introduction of machine learning along with new advanced authoring capabilities for application and dashboard functionality to better support comparative analysis and guided analytics use cases, and improved visualization and mapping features.
Qlik’s cognitive machine learning capability is a game-changer in the market place, as our unique machine learning capability allows for multi-source precedent-based learning capabilities that leverage information from user interactions, artifacts, and governed business rules all powered by our cognitive engine. This provides users with relevant, contextual and “smarter” insight suggestions. Our innovation doesn’t stop there, as additional data sources and customization options will be added for richer insights. In addition to machine learning, we have improved the Insight Advisor with light authoring capabilities allowing users to change suggested visualizations, not only giving users faster and smarter insights, but providing flexibility and control when discovering insights.
We continue to focus on Advanced Authoring, ensuring we deliver most requested features around self-service authoring, consumption, and complex dashboarding in Qlik Sense. This release includes the ability to perform comparative analysis with alternate states allowing users to define sets of information to compare in two or more visualizations side by side. In addition, we introduce extension bundling. The new Dashboard Bundle includes the 6 most popular extensions on Qlik Branch, out of the box, and now fully functional and supported by Qlik! This bundle, and the future of extension bundling, will get our customers excited – as we can now bring new and frequently requested features to the market at a faster pace!

QlikView November 2018
QlikView November 2018 delivers improvements to support QlikView longevity, including two new libraries – a graphics library offering increased flexibility and simplified graphical implementation; plus, a Unicode components library for better sorting of non-English characters, strings containing white spaces, and numeric strings.
The release also includes two new log files making it easier for our customers to maintain high levels of QlikView app and server performance – one validates engine performance and pinpoints inefficiencies, and the other identifies areas within the application that consume the most resources.
